Who am I?

My name is Chris Wildgoose, and I'm a sports journalist based in the north west.

I graduated from Staffordshire University with a 2:1 degree in BA (Hons) Sports Journalism in June 2011 and have since gone on to create content for Bolton Wanderers, Manchester City, the Tameside Reporter, GiveMeSport, Goal, FanSided and Manchester Futsal Club. In addition, I have freelanced for the Bundesliga's English Instagram account and several regional newspapers.

As well as my fantastic writing skills, I possess a keen eye for detail and a creative mind. This blog is an example of my work, please feel free to browse.

What they said | Simon Wright: Manchester Futsal Club Chairman

"Chris was a pivotal member of my team at Manchester Futsal Club and performed his role as Head of Media with professionalism, energy and creativity at all times.

“Chris is someone who can communicate at all levels and was adept at working with the coaching staff and players to gain insight and factual content that could be used across the club's digital assets.

“Highly committed with a precise attention to detail, it was no surprise that during his time at the club Chris earned a reputation as the leading journalist in English futsal.

“I would not hesitate to recommend Chris as it was a pleasure to manage and work alongside him for many years."

What they said | David Mooney: Typical City Editor

“Chris is an excellent writer, with the ability to convey his ideas and thoughts quickly and succinctly. It's rare that his work needs to be edited before being posted online - and he's always good for ideas, with regular submissions every week.”
